Youth, Skills, and the Workforce of the Future
Propose innovative learning technologies, new educational models, tools, or strategies that connect disadvantaged youth’s passion for the arts and culture to 21st century skills.
Brain Health
Propose a non-medical intervention that uses the arts and culture to reduce stress and enhance brain fitness and resiliency in resource-limited populations.
Sustainable Urban Communities
Propose a replicable design for an urban community space that can be both a source for food and water and a vehicle for messaging about sustainability in the production and consumption of both.
Women and Technology
Propose an arts and culture-based intervention that uses technology to connect women and girls to the creative economy.

Solve is an initiative of MIT that identifies and supports lasting solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Solve is a community that brings together technologists, social entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, researchers, and other change agents to unearth and implement solutions to specific, actionable challenges around education, health, sustainability, and economic prosperity.
Solve issues their challenges for anybody from around the world to apply. They identify the best solutions through open innovation. And they build and convene a community of leaders and change-makers who have the resources, the expertise, the mentorship, and the know-how to get each solution piloted, scaled, and implemented.
