Yo-Yo Ma reunites with pianist and longtime collaborator Kathryn Stott for an American tour spotlighting Dmitri Shostakovich’s Sonata in D minor and César Franck’s Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano, as well as highlights from their new album Songs from the Arc of Life.
The tour kicks off on May 11 at UC Davis’s Mondavi Center and continues on to San Francisco on May 12 at Davies Symphony Hall, Irvine on May 14 at Segerstrom Hall and Los Angeles on May 15 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
On May 17, the duo appears in Omaha at the Holland Center. The tour wraps on May 18 at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall.
